Food Insecurity audio Series Story Pt. 2

For my Public Affairs class, I did an audio series story on food insecurity. Back in the fall of 2023, the government was on the verge of being shutdown. Many Maryland residents were in fear of not receiving government food funding programs. Such as W.I.C and S.N.A.P. The Capital area food bank released a data survey which revealed that 50% of Prince Georges county residents were facing this ongoing issue. Residents voiced their frustrations and concerns on why there is not enough resources being put in place at their local communities. Part 2 of the series reveals the sources and local organizations fighting back and providing accessibility to residents who are facing this issue.

Baltimore Ravens, Salvation Army & the 53 Families Foundation Thanksgiving event story

For a videography assignment, I filmed a story on the Salvation Army & the 53 Families Foundation event where they team up to not only celebrate Thanksgiving, but to also help and give back to the Baltimore community. Numerous volunteers and players from the Baltimore Ravens came out to lend and support those who weren't able to have a Thanksgiving meal at their homes. Not only was this an inspirational and honorable event, but it is also a reminder for all of us to be happy and blessed for the opportunities that we receive.
